There is no mention of North or Dominionism in my e-mail or article.
Apparently, North read on my website’s homepage that I classified classical
Christian education as Dominionist.
First, North sent me this e-mail. . .
Send me links:
-
The Christian curriculum
you promote
-
The Christian school that
uses it
I
replied twice.
My first e-mail. . .
Hello Gary. I don’t promote a curriculum. These are my thoughts based on
Scripture.
Grace and peace,
Karen
And my second e-mail. . .
Correction: Based on my years of experience in education and Scripture. By
the way, I taught in a classical Christian school for two years.
No, I don't promote a commercial
curriculum: A Beka, Horizon, Bob Jones, and so forth. However, my article
clearly states I advocate a Bible-centered curriculum.
The next day North sent me this e-mail .
. .
This will be posted tomorrow.
http://www.garynorth.com/public/15163.cfm
I will mail it to 85,000 people
Saturday.
I am placing you on BLOCK
SENDER. Reply all you want.
North is a bully. He publicly
throws stones at me...and then runs and hides: "I am placing you on BLOCK
SENDER. Reply all you want."
Read what North published and mailed to

My initial reaction to his irrational tirade was “Huh?” Why did North send
out his irrational tirade to 85,000 recipients? It says absolutely nothing.
It does not name me or my website. And what did the recipients think of this
meaningless babble? Hopefully, they cancelled their newsletter subscription.
Let’s take a close look at his irrational babbling. . .
Futility: Shouting Endless Condemnations in an Empty Room
You are a fringe
person. So am I. We think about social cause and effect in ways not
suspected by the general public.
This presents a problem.
We are on email lists of suppliers of fringe information.
There are lots of groups
out there that are even fringier than we are. They want us to join them.
The American
Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (1980) defines
“fringe” as “Those members of a group or political party holding extreme
views.” In other words, North is addressing fellow extremists.
Note his
revealing and disturbing admission: “We
think about social cause and effect
in ways
not suspected by the general public.”
What
is he talking about “in ways
not
suspected
by the general public”?
This bizarre
admission sounds suspicious. Just how extreme are their views?
North states
Liberty Advocate is “fringier
than we are. They want us to join them.” I don’t ask anyone to join
anything. There is no membership. And I don’t charge $14.95 a month for
membership fees.
On the other
hand, North’s wealth-building strategy is making false doomsday predictions
scaring folks into paying $14.95 a month to tell them how he will deliver
us.
North believes
he is a modern Moses who will deliver us from the American Republic and set
up a theocracy run by himself and other like-minded men. Now…that’s scary.
Second, North
discusses my e-mail about classical Christian education:
CHRISTIAN CLASSICAL
EDUCATION
I was sent an email by a
fundamentalist lady on the terrible evils of the Christian classical
curriculum.
I have been writing about
this for over 20 years.
http://www.garynorth.com/public/3155.cfm
http://www.garynorth.com/public/12665.cfm
http://www.garynorth.com/public/12675.cfm
http://www.garynorth.com/public/14403.cfm
She is coming late to the
party.
She posted her critique
on her website, where she blames the evils of the Christian classical
curriculum on my brand of theology.
Why would she send her
tirade to me? To say that she is out of touch with reality is not an
exaggeration, as you will see.
I wrote back:
Send me the following:
1. A link to the
curriculum you recommend
2. A link to the school
that uses it
I knew what the answer
would be. I got it within the hour.
Hello Gary.
I don't promote a
curriculum. These are my thoughts based on Scripture.
Grace and peace,
Not much grace. Even less
peace.
Notice he calls me a “fundamentalist lady.” Am I a fundamentalist? I am
not ashamed to proclaim that I believe the Bible is the authoritative Word
of God.
People sometimes label North a fundamentalist. But here he discloses he
despises fundamentalists. A man who alleges he wants to set up a theonomy –
a government instituting Mosaic law - despises fundamentalists? Yes, because
fundamentalists are not extremists.
Why did I send North an e-mail? Specifically, I sent him excerpts from my
latest article “The Christian School: Train Up a Child” because I knew he
wrote against classical Christian education.
She posted her critique
on her website, where she blames the evils of the Christian classical
curriculum on my brand of theology.
I doubt if he even read the
article because Dominion “theology” – ideology – is never mentioned.
Classical Christian education as Dominionist was
mentioned on my homepage about an upcoming article on Dominionism, but it is
never mentioned in the article.
The truth is North wants students to use a Dominionist curriculum. In fact,
he offers his own free curriculum.
And North
promotes the Ron Paul Curriculum.
Ron Paul curriculum[edit]
In addition, North offers the Ron Paul Curriculum,
a
home
school
online curriculum associated with former U.S. Congressman
Ron
Paul,
which is free for grades K-5 and available to paid members from grades 6–12.[17][18]
As Director of Curriculum
Development, North
has outlined four goals of the educational project: providing a "detailed
study" of the "history of liberty"; teaching a "thorough understanding of
Austrian economics"; serving as "an academically rigorous curriculum that is
tied to primary source" material rather than textbooks; and teaching "the
Biblical principle of self-government and personal responsibility", which
North calls "the foundation of the market economy".[19]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_North_(economist)
In “The Christian School: Train Up a Child” classical Christian
education is exposed as a Confederate curriculum. Neo-Confederates and Paleo-Confederates also want to take dominion over society. Interestingly,
Dominionists and Confederates share some views. For example, both want to
impose certain Old Testament civil laws on us, including stoning. And North
wants to throw stones…
Range of capital offenses[edit]
North favors
capital punishment
for a range of offenders; including women who lie about their virginity,
blasphemers, nonbelievers, children who curse their parents,[24][25]
male homosexuals, and other people who commit
acts
deemed capital offenses
in the
Old
Testament.[26]
North also favors capital punishment for women who have abortions.[3][27]
North stated that the
biblical admonition
to kill homosexuals in Leviticus is God's "law and its morally appropriate
sanction", arguing that "God is indeed a homophobe" who "hates the practice
[of homosexuality] and those who practice it" and "hates the sin and hates
the sinner."[28]
North has said that capital punishment should be carried out
by
stoning,
because it is the biblically approved method of execution and it is cheap
due to the plentiful and convenient supply of stones.[4][29]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_North_(economist)
These views are extreme…very
extreme.
And they
are similar to Islamic Sharia law.
But the Old Testament civil laws were abolished under the New Testament, or
new covenant. For example, when Paul writes to the Corinthians that “it is
reported commonly that there is fornication among you” (1 Corinthians 5:1),
he does not command the fornicator to be stoned. He is to be excommunicated
that he might be saved. Excommunicates may repent and be welcomed back into
the church. Paul explains that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom
of God; he does not command them to be stoned. He reminds the Corinthians:
“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye
are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our
God” (1 Cor. 6:11).
North continues. . .
Why would she send her
tirade to me?
Tirade?
Clearly, neither my e-mail nor my article is a tirade.
To say that she is out of
touch with reality is not an exaggeration, as you will see.
Who is out of
touch with reality?
North wants
dominion over us.
Over the years,
165,000 people realized North is out of touch with reality and walked away.
North is
shouting endless false doomsday prophecies to a dwindling audience.
His e-mail
continues. . .
I wrote back:

I knew what the answer
would be. I got it within the hour.
Hello Gary.
I don't promote a
curriculum. These are my thoughts based on Scripture.
Grace and peace,
Not much grace. Even less
peace.
Again, I don’t
promote any commercial curriculum. However, my article clearly states I
advocate a Bible-centered curriculum.
Notice he doesn’t mention my second e-mail to him: “Correction:

taught in a classical Christian school for two years.”
Not much grace. Even less

North is belligerent. That’s the problem with extremists, you can’t offer
them grace and peace because they yearn for war, not peace.
Dominionists have a warring spirit.
Next, North ridicules my website.
FIRST, CHECK WITH
ALEXA.COM
Next, I checked her
website on Alexa. Ranking: 18,342,487. Rarely do I see any ranking this low.
Any site ranked lower
than 1,000,000 is seen by no one. It's OK if the site is a business card
site for getting a job. For a public opinion site, it's futile.
Because Alexa
is not a free service, I am unable to check if this rating is accurate.
Granted, I’m well aware I’m preaching to the faithful remnant. But I’m not
concerned with numbers. More important, I’m not a commercial business.
Notice he
labels my website as a “public opinion.” That’s amusing coming from someone
preaching an extreme ideology disguised as "theology."
Continuing. . .
She has strong opinions.
C. S. Lewis was not a true Christian. Rick Warren, author of the
largest-selling
evangelical book of the 21st century,
is a communist. And so on. She speaks with absolute authority.
C.S. Lewis was
not a true Christian. The evidence is clear. His obsession with the occult
is evident in his books, including The
Chronicles of Narnia.
Then North
defends Rick Warren. Interestingly, he just revealed his support for Warren. This is not surprising because both hate fundamentalists; they see
them as resisters to a new world order. Likewise, both try to silence true
Christians who warn others to beware of religious communism, Dominionism,
and other dominion cults. Read “Warrenism: Religious Communism” and decide
for yourself” @
http://www.libertyadvocate.com/Warren%27s%20Religious%20Communism.htm
Next, North
ridicules me: “She speaks with absolute authority.” Unquestionably, the
Bible is the authoritative Word of God.
Just as a lawyer in the
courtroom cites man’s law with authority, Christians speak God’s Law with
authority. Paul exhorts Titus:
These things speak, and
exhort,
and rebuke with all authority.
Let no man despise thee.
Titus 2:15
A
true Christian’s authority to speak, exhort, and rebuke false teachings
comes from God, not man.
Of course,
extremists are afraid of Christians who are firmly grounded in the Word and
boldly proclaim the Truth. It is the Holy Spirit that gives true Christians
the power to speak the Truth with boldness.
North and other
extremists are afraid of Spirit-filled Christians.
North and other
extremists are afraid of Christians who are mighty in Scripture.
Extremists want
Biblically ignorant followers. So, they try to create doubt and confusion
with various “translations” - actually perverted interpretations – to make us
insecure in our knowledge of Biblical truths. Doubt and confusion make us
vulnerable to false teachers and false preachers who prey on our weakness
and ignorance. They want to manipulate us. They want us to bow down in absolute, unquestioning submission to
their professed authority. They want dominion over us.
But true Christians
study the
Word to know the Truth.
Then Jesus said
to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye
continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall
know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free.
John 8: 31,32
North
continues. . .
When you shout in an
empty room, you shout with authority, and no one answers back.
I decided to answer back.
Almost nobody has ever
heard of her. I searched. There is a Facebook entry and a few references to
her site.
North reported
250,000 followers in 1997. In his reply to me, he reports 85,000 followers.
So…when North shouted false doomsday predictions to a crowd and shouted with
authority, 165,000 people answered back: Cancel my subscription!
North is losing
thousands and thousands of followers. And he is scared. His dominion is
getting smaller and smaller.
He continues. . .
I do not get it. I never
have. Why do people post their opinions endlessly on sites that no one
reads? They could be helping the poor, teaching kids how to read, running a
home business, or working on some project that has either a market or a
need.
North feels
preaching and teaching the Gospel is a waste of our time. North dictates what I
should be doing: “helping the poor, teaching kids how to read, running a
home business, or working on some project that has either a market or a
need.”
But in the
second e-mail, I told North I taught school. But he is silent about this.
Besides, he knows absolutely nothing about my life, but he speaks with
absolute authority and dictates what I should be doing.
This says a lot
about life under Dominionist rule. The leaders will be the dictators; we
will be submissive servants, or slaves, of the Dominionist state.
North continues
his ranting. . .
This woman is a lawyer.
She has JD after her name. Yet I found no record of her law office. She
could do pro bono work for poor victims. But no. Ranting is what she does.
Ranting for Jesus in an empty room.
North belittles
my working with the highest law – God’s Law. He condemns my calling because Dominionists want to dictate what we should do, not God.
And, obviously, North is doing the ranting. . .
Every movement has these
people. They are harmless. No one notices. But when a wanna-be reformer
thinks that she is accomplishing something positive by shouting at the top
of her lungs in an empty room, and does this for 10 years, I wonder about
her sanity. She is connected to reality by little more than a thread.
I
am a preacher and teacher of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We do not
need social reforms; we need transformed lives. When lives are transformed,
then society will be transformed. When hearts and minds are sanctified by
the power of the Holy Spirit, the fruit will be holiness and righteousness. And
a holy people will be a holy nation.
North continues his ranting: “shouting at the top of her lungs in an empty
room, and does this for 10 years.”
Well, this is clearly displayed at the top of my homepage:
Liberty Advocate
2003 - 2016
13 Years Preaching the Gospel...
For I am not
ashamed of the gospel of Christ.
Romans 1:16
I’ve already done the math: 2003-2016 = 13 years. How does an economist get
10 years?
And “an empty room”? "Empty" means containing nothing. To give a simple
economic example, an empty bank account means no money. Therefore, an “empty
room” means no occupants (persons). And “no” means not one.
Yet, in just the past 45 days over 3,000 people have visited my site. That’s
not an “empty room.” Besides, I don’t worry about numbers because I’m not
asking anyone to follow me. I want them to follow Christ, and not be led
astray by false prophets and false teachers. I want them to know the Truth,
and not be deceived by ideology disguised as “theology.” Beware of
theology.
North’s next statements are
silly and laughable: “I
wonder about her sanity. She is connected to reality by little more than a
thread.” “Scary Gary” has been frightening people for decades into buying
his newsletter and listening to his false doomsday predictions: Y2K, 2005
avian flu or bird flu epidemic, AIDS global epidemic, and so forth. And he is
questioning my sanity? Even his father-in-law, Rousas J. Rushdoony, the
founder of Christian Reconstructionism, broke off with North because of his
extreme views.
North closes .
. .
FUTILITY AS A
LIFESTYLE
Fringe critics look
around them, and see that everything is all wrong.
They curse the endless
darkness in an always-empty room.
These people spend their
lives fighting something with nothing.
When you find such
people, avoid them. Even when they make plausible points, they offer no
program to replace what is wrong with what is right.
They do not expect
positive change. They devote no time to developing even one positive reform
to implement.
They expect God to reward
them in eternity because they spend their lives shouting in their empty
rooms.
This mentality is one of
futility. They invite the world into their empty rooms to listen to their
endless tirades.
Decline the
invitation.
North falsely pronounces Liberty Advocate
is “an always-empty room.” This has already been disproved.
And notice how he belittles preaching and teaching the Word: “fighting
something with nothing.” Teaching people to withstand the wiles of the devil
with “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:10-17) is not “nothing.”
He continues: “Even when they make plausible points, they offer no program
to replace what is wrong with what is right.” My article on Christian
education clearly advocated a Bible-centered curriculum. And the world is
full of programs. What the world needs is Jesus Christ. What the wicked
world needs is to be purified by the cleansing power of the Holy Spirit.
What the world needs is men and women who will boldly carry out the Great
Commission:
Go ye into
all the world,
and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16: 15
We don’t need more manmade reforms that fail to get to the heart of the
problem – our wicked hearts (Mark 7:21-23). We need men and women and
children living holy lives. For example, my article on Christian schools was
about teaching God’s children holy thinking and holy living.
Our children do not
belong to us; they are God’s children to be trained for Him. And we must
train them up in righteousness and holiness. Christian parents may send
their children to a Christian school to help them with child training, but a
godly school teaches more than academics. More important, the godly school
teaches God’s children holy thinking and holy living.
Indeed, a Christian
school that does not teach holy thinking and holy living is a false
Christian school. Instruction in a
Christian school must be dominated by a holy purpose. And that holy purpose
is holiness.
Listen…
The true
Christian school is a Spirit-led school.
A
school without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is a dead school - a false
Christian school.
The Bible declares that
true Christians are a holy people led by the Spirit of God:
For as many as are led
by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God.
Romans 8:14
The true Christian school
is a holy people led by the Spirit of God.
The true Christian school
is a holy school.
But North wants students taught Dominionist ideology, not holiness.
His closing statement is very telling . . .
This mentality is one of
futility. They invite the world into their empty rooms to listen to their
endless tirades.
Decline the
invitation.
After decades of shouting endless false doomsday prophecies and scaring
people, now North is the one who is scared.
North is scared of losing the rest of his dwindling audience.
North is scared more of his followers will learn the truth about Dominionist
ideology and be set free.
North is scared that some of his followers will read Liberty Advocate
and other websites preaching and teaching the Gospel. So, he commands his
followers: “Decline the invitation.”
Listen. . .
We must heed Jesus’ warning . . .
Beware of
false prophets,
which come
to you in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly
they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets who hunger for dominion over us.
