Silencing the Saints
by
Karen Pansler-Lam, J.D.
The
Devil wants to silence the saints. The Devil does not want the saints to boldly proclaim the Truth that all preaching, teaching, and worship must be based wholly on Scripture.
Corrupt
church officials are desperately trying to silence the saints. They
are trying to silence the Truth. But,
like Martin Luther, we must boldly defend our stand that doctrine and
worship must be based wholly on Scripture. And we must not allow a corrupt
and bloated church government to rule over us by
intimidation, bullying, extortion and false doctrine. Recently,
a pastor e-mailed me and told me to stop rebuking the corrupt church. This is the voice of the Devil.
The
Devil does not want the saints to expose and rebuke the evil deeds of
corrupt, pompous church officials bloated with vanity and greed. The
Devil wants to silence the saints. The
Devil does not want the saints to boldly proclaim the Truth that all
preaching, teaching, and worship must be based wholly on Scripture. The
Devil wants to silence the saints. And
one of the Devil’s strategies is to use pompous and corrupt church
officials to intimidate and bully the saints into silence. But the Devil
has always tried to silence the saints… Pompous
and corrupt Catholic Church officials tried to silence Martin Luther when
he boldly protested that all doctrine must be based on Scripture and not
man-made canon law. And
pompous and corrupt scribes and Pharisees tried to silence Jesus Christ
when he boldly rebuked their man-made doctrines.
Jesus repeatedly rebuked pompous and corrupt church officials: Jesus
rebuked corrupt church officials in Matthew 15... 8 This
people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their
lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But
in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of
men. And Jesus
rebuked corrupt church officials in Matthew 23... 1
Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2
Saying, The
scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: 3 All
therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not
ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4 For
they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s
shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their
fingers. 5 But
all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their
phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues.
...Jesus
continues to rebuke corrupt church officials and calls them
hypocrites! He also proclaims they shall receive greater
damnation… 13 But
woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go
in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. 14 Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long
prayer: therefore ye shall receive greater damnation. 15 Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is
made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. …and
Jesus continues to rebuke corrupt church officials, hypocrites!
Their eternal destiny is hell… 25 Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside
of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and
excess. 28
Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are
full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 33 Ye
serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of
hell?
Jesus repeatedly rebuked corrupt church officials.
So…the
corrupt church officials silenced Christ. They crucified Him.
And modern
corrupt church officials are still trying to silence the Voice of the
Lord. O saints, do not allow corrupt church officials to silence the voice of the true Gospel.
O saints, lift up your voices and boldly proclaim that all doctrine and worship must be based wholly on God’s Holy Word.
