with the Devil: Christians
Just Wanna Have Fun
Modern Christians replace holiness with hedonism. Surprisingly,
many professing Christians indulge in hedonistic pleasures: drinking,
drugs, pornography, fornication, adultery and
other debauchery.
They
consider themselves "awesome" or "cool" or
“progressive” Christians. They declare they are no longer under the law.
They proclaim they are covered by grace.

How did this false notion of “Christians just wanna have fun” - hedonism – infiltrate the church? During the 1970s, hippies rejected the established church and rejected established church doctrines, including the doctrines of holiness and righteousness. In rebellion, they preached the devilish doctrine of hedonism: “If it feels good, do it.” For example, the Beatles’ songs preached the hippie doctrine of hedonism: psychedelic drugs, fornication and adultery, and other sins. The Beatles became hippies in the 70s, but when they started as a group in the 60s they were beatniks. What is a beatnik? beatnik. 1. A member of the beat generation. 2. A person who acts and dresses with pointed, often exaggerated, disregard for what is thought proper and who is given to radical and extravagant social criticism or self-expression. [Beat + (NUD) NIK]. The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (1980) Doesn’t this sound like modern Christians? Like the beatniks, modern Christians act and dress with pointed, often exaggerated, disregard for what is thought proper: flip flops, shorts, athletic shoes, jeans and other inappropriate clothes in defiant disrespect for the House of the Lord. And as for “radical and extravagant social criticism or self-expression”…what about the radical and extravagant social and religious criticism or self-expression of the new “radical” Christianity against the established church, or the Old Church Order? Incidentally, the dictionary definition immediately preceding “beatnik” is Beatles the. Look at the first definition of beatnik: “a member of the beat generation." What is the beat generation? beat generation. A group belonging to the generation coming to maturity after World War II that asserted a loss of faith in Western cultural traditions and rejected conventional norms of dress and behavior. The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (1980) Beatniks preceded the hippies, but shared the same open rebellion and preached destructive doctrines. In
1982, Allen Ginsberg published a summary of "the essential effects" of
the Beat Generation: 1.
Spiritual liberation, sexual "revolution" or
"liberation," i.e., gay liberation, somewhat catalyzing women's
liberation, black liberation, Gray Panther activism. 2.
Liberation of the world from censorship.
3.
Demystification and/or decriminalization of cannabis
and other drugs.
4.
The evolution of rhythm and blues into rock and roll as a high art form,
as evidenced by the
Beatles, Bob
Dylan, Janis
Joplin, and other popular musicians influenced in the later fifties
and sixties by Beat generation poets' and writers' works. 5.
The spread of ecological consciousness, emphasized early on by Gary
Snyder and Michael
McClure, the notion of a "Fresh Planet." 6.
Opposition to the military-industrial machine civilization, as emphasized
in writings of Burroughs, Huncke, Ginsberg, and Kerouac. 7.
Attention to what Kerouac
called (after Spengler)
a "second religiousness" developing within an advanced
civilization. 8.
Return to an appreciation of idiosyncrasy as against state regimentation. 9.
Respect for land and indigenous peoples and creatures, as proclaimed by
Kerouac in his slogan from On the Road. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beat_Generation Now compare the beatnik doctrines to the hippie doctrines: Hippies rejected established institutions, criticized middle class values, opposed nuclear weapons and the Vietnam War, embraced aspects of Eastern philosophy, championed sexual liberation, were often vegetarian and eco-friendly, promoted the use of psychedelic drugs which they believed expanded one's consciousness, and created intentional communities or communes. They used alternative arts, street theatre, folk music, and psychedelic rock as a part of their lifestyle and as a way of expressing their feelings, their protests and their vision of the world and life. Hippies opposed political and social orthodoxy, choosing a gentle and nondoctrinaire ideology that favored peace, love and personal freedom, expressed for example in The Beatles' song "All You Need is Love". Hippies perceived the dominant culture as a corrupt, monolithic entity that exercised undue power over their lives, calling this culture "The Establishment", "Big Brother", or "The Man". Noting that they were "seekers of meaning and value", scholars like Timothy Miller have described hippies as a new religious movement. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippie Both the beatniks and the hippies shared the same rebellious agenda – disobey God’s Law, and seduce others into licentiousness. Beatniks and hippies, such as the Beatles, were the Devil’s disciples and boldly preached “do your own thing.” In fact, the Beatles worshipped Satanist Aleister Crowley, named the most wicked man to ever live. The Beatles took
Crowley’s teaching very seriously.
In an interview, John Lennon says the “whole idea of the
Beatles” was Crowley’s infamous “do what thou wilt.” Many
beatniks and hippies spewed forth their hatred of established Christianity
and love for licentiousness. But
rebellion against God’s Law by any other name is still rebellion:
communism, hippieism, beatnikism, socialism, humanism, Buddhism,
Hinduism, Gnosticism, religious progressivism and all other –isms that are antichrist.

emphasize… Beatniks,
hippies, communists, socialists, and all enemies of Christ are
driven by the same hateful agenda - destroy true Christianity. They all preach liberation theology - licentiousness and
lasciviousness. They
protest morality and preach liberating ourselves from Biblical Law. They preach defiance of established moral and religious law
and advocate personal freedom – license - to practice sexual
perversions. And
this evil hedonism is preached to youth at apostate universities and
seminaries by libertine professors: communists,
hedonists, socialists and other –ists rebelling against established
Biblical law and order. For
example, the majority of signers of the Humanist Manifesto II were
professors at major universities. Read the names of the signers listed at
the end of the Manifesto: note the large number of university professors
who preached humanist/communist propaganda to youth; and keep in mind this
was signed in 1973, the hippie era.

short, hedonists preach there are no personal sins. The only sins are
social sins, or social injustice. As
long as you perform humanitarian good works, you are free to live your
personal life according to your own imagination and lusts. Unfortunately,
hedonistic hippie theology infiltrated seminaries and other
“Christian” schools by the false doctrine of unconditional salvation. This perversion of God’s grace asserts that God’s love
and grace is so great, all who claim to be Christians will be saved; even
if we party with the Devil. In
other words, we do not have to be born again.
We do not have to become new creatures in Christ.
Specifically, they deny the doctrine of sanctification and preach
all those who profess to be Christians will be forgiven their sins and
granted eternal life. This is
a corrupt doctrine of grace. Libertine
theologians and other wicked professors teach unconditional salvation
disguised as “grace” and seduce students into believing
“progressive” Christians are free from the Law (they sneeringly call
it “legalism”) and moral restraint.
But this is not new. University
doctors – libertines - have been enemies of true Christianity since the
early church. Luke records in Acts 6 how the Libertines arose against
Stephen. And
Stephen, full of faith and power, did
great wonders and miracles among the people. Then
there arose certain of the synagogue, which
is called the synagogue
of the Libertines, and
Cyrenians, and
Alexandrians, and
of them of Cilicia and
of Asia, disputing
with Stephen. Acts
6:8,9 The
1599 Geneva Bible (the
Pilgrims used this Bible) comments:
“Schools and Universities were of old time addicted to false
pastors, and were the instruments of Satan to blow abroad and defend false
doctrines.” And
verse 12… Thus
they stirred up the people, and
the elders, and
the scribes, and
came upon him, and
caught him, and
brought him to the Council. The
Geneva Bible notes: “The first bloody persecution of the Church
of Christ began and sprang from a Council of Priests by the suggestion of
the University doctors.” Today,
libertine professors in “Christian” schools are the
instruments of Satan to promote and defend false doctrines.
Corrupt theology professors purposely use
perverted Bible “translations”
[politically correct interpretations] to stir up church leaders and
congregants to persecute preachers of the true Gospel of holiness and
righteousness. This active
hatred of true Christianity leads libertines to open slandering, name
calling, and false accusations of those who preach and live in obedience
to God’s Law of holiness. And
they incite others to bully and attack true preachers with slander, name
calling, and false accusations in hopes of silencing the preaching of the
Truth. For
this reason, many youth graduate from apostate seminaries believing it’s
OK to party with the Devil because we’re all covered by grace. This
corrupted doctrine of grace turns the grace of God into lasciviousness. Turning
the Grace of God Into Lasciviousness Today, corrupt teachers and preachers claim we are no longer under God's Law. We are free to sin because it is all covered by grace. But this is not a new devilish doctrine. In fact, Jude confronted this seducing doctrine of devils in the early church; he warned Christians about ungodly men who turn the grace of God into lasciviousness. For
there are certain men crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly
men, turning
the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and
denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude 4 Matthew Henry comments on Jude 4: We
ought to contend earnestly for the faith, in opposition to those who would
corrupt or deprave it; who creep in unawares; who glide in like serpents.
And those are the worst of the ungodly, who take encouragement to sin
boldly, because the grace of God has abounded, and still abounds so
wonderfully, and who are hardened by the extent and fulness of gospel
grace, the design of which is to deliver men from sin, and bring them unto

as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving
themselves over to fornication, and
going after strange flesh, are
set forth for an
example, suffering
the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 7 Jude makes it very clear that punishment awaits the licentious. And verse 8 further tells us of these libertines: “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh.”
There are those who are consumed with other lusts besides sexual perversion: booze, drugs, and other debauchery. They are consumed with the gratification of sensual appetites, and purposely misinterpret the doctrine of grace to fulfill their filthy desires. Jude also reminds us that Christ’s apostles told us mockers would corrupt His grace: But,
beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before
of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How
that they told you there should be mockers
in the last time, who
should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These
be they who separate themselves, sensual,
having not the Spirit. Jude 17-19 Alas, the progressive church is full of mockers who turn the grace of God into lasciviousness. False Christians mock God’s Law of holiness. They call it “legalism.” And they mock those who preach sanctification. They call them “self-righteous” and other derogatory names. Of course, corrupt preachers and teachers and other mockers who follow the perverted doctrine of grace are hypocrites. Their corrupt doctrine of lasciviousness denies the true grace of God, and denies the true Christ. The
Truth About Grace
Mockers are either ignorant of the Bible or intentionally misinterpret it. Irrefutably, in plain language Jesus makes it very clear that true grace is not lasciviousness: “Go, and sin no more.” For instance, Jesus told the man He healed at the pool of Bethesda… Behold,
thou art made whole: sin
no more, lest
a worse thing come unto thee. John 5:14 And Jesus told the woman caught in the act of adultery… Neither
do I condemn thee: go,
and sin
no more. John 8:11 Christ
knew the sincere repentance in the woman’s heart. The woman was ashamed
of her sin. Because of her repentant heart, Jesus did not condemn her to
death, but to eternal life through repentance and obedience:
“Go, and sin no more.”
This is grace. This
is Christ’s redeeming grace. And
Christ will not condemn those who, though they have sinned, will go and
sin no more. Awake
to righteousness, and
sin not; for
some have not the knowledge of God: I
speak this to your shame. I Corinthians 15:34 Shame on those who turn the grace of God into lasciviousness. Awake to righteousness; go, and sin no more. Ye
Must Be Born Again
Is it possible to go and sin no more? Yes, but it is only possible if we are born again. Jesus makes this very clear: Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except
a man be born again, he
cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 Ye must be born again. John 3:7 When we repent of our sins, the blood of Jesus purifies our hearts of past sins. We go and sin no more; we are transformed into new creatures in Christ. And it is by the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit that we are transformed into servants of righteousness and holiness. This
I say then, Walk
in the Spirit, and
ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For
the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and
the Spirit against the flesh: and
these are contrary the one to the other: so
that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But
if ye be led of the Spirit, ye
are not under the law. Now
the works of the flesh are manifest, which
are these;
Adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry,
witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations,
wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings,
murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of
the which I tell you before, as I have also told you
in time past, that
they which do such things shall not inherit the
kingdom of God. Galatians 5:16-21 Paul makes it very clear that lasciviousness and other wickedness is not covered by grace: “they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” And when Paul declares if we are led of the Spirit, we are not under the law, he means that if we are truly saved and sanctified, we obey the Law out of the Spirit of Christ, not mere human obedience. In other words, because we have the Spirit of Christ, we crucify the lusts and obey the Law from heart. And
they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with
the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:24 Grace is only for those who repent of their sins and bear the fruits of righteousness. In other words, grace is only for those who determine in their hearts to sin no more, and be holy as commanded in God’s Law: Because
it is written, Be
ye holy; for
I am holy. I Peter 1:16 Clearly, the Bible commands us to be holy.
Holiness is not legalism. Holiness is obedience, or holy living, out of a true love of God and His Law. This is a fulfilling of the first and great New Testament commandment: Thou
shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and
with all thy mind. This
is the first and great commandment. Matthew
22:37, 38 However, many Christians babble, “Nobody’s perfect. We all make mistakes.” They use this foolish babbling to justify their sins and the sins of others. But we are to daily perfect our Christian character to be more like Christ. Jesus, the Word made flesh, commands us: Be
ye therefore perfect, even
as your Father which is
in heaven is perfect. Matthew
5:48 And
the only way to perfection of Christian character is sanctification. True repentance and sanctification are inseparable:
“Ye must be born again.”
But ungodly men turn the grace of God into lasciviousness and deny the doctrine of sanctification. Ungodly men declare we are no longer under moral law because we are under grace. Law
or Grace? So,
did Christ abolish the Law? Are we no longer under the law because we are under grace? Authoritative Law – God’s Law- makes it very clear the Law is established, or given its proper place. For
sin shall not have
dominion over you: for
ye are not under the law, but
under grace. Romans 6:14 The 1599 Geneva Bible comments: “He granteth that sin is not yet so dead in us that it is utterly extinct: but he promised victory to them that contend manfully because we have the grace of God given us…By nature we are slaves to sin, and free from righteousness, but by the grace of God we are made servants to righteousness, and therefore free from sin.” In short, God’s grace gives us victory over sin! God’s grace does not wink at sin because Christians just wanna have fun - sin. Do
we then make void the law through faith? God
forbid: yea, we
establish the law. Romans 3:31 What
shall we say then? Shall
we continue in sin, that
grace may abound? God
forbid. How
shall we, that
are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:1,2 Listen… Paul specifically asks: “Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” And he answers: “God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” When we repent, God redeems us from sin. His redeeming grace not only takes away the penalty, but the grace of God goes further…He sanctifies us, or makes us dead to sin. We are born again. We become new creatures in Christ and no longer desire to sin. Sanctification abolishes the desire to sin. We are made free from sin to become servants of righteousness (Romans 6:18). Paul does not condemn the Law; it is good if we use it lawfully… But
we know that the law
is good, if
a man use it lawfully; Knowing
this, that
the law is not made for a righteous man, but
for the lawless and
disobedient, for
the ungodly and for sinners, for
unholy and profane, for
murderers of fathers and murderers
of mothers, for
manslayers, For
whoremongers, for
them that defile themselves with mankind, for
menstealers, for
liars, for
perjured persons, and
if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine. I Timothy 1:8-10 In short, the law is for the lawless, or those who are not born again and remain servants of sin. For without law, there would be anarchy. But born again believers are under the Law of holiness and righteousness. Holiness and righteousness establish the Law. Having
therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let
us cleanse ourselves from all
filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God. II Corinthians 7:1 If
ye know that he is righteous, ye
know that every one that
doeth righteousness is
born of him. I John 2:29 Undeniably, we are to be perfecting holiness in the fear of God. We are to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the body and soul that our sanctification may be perfect. When we repent, we are justified and sanctified. Righteousness is imputed to us for justification, implanted in us for sanctification True believers are righteous because they resemble God, who is righteous. On the contrary, false believers are unrighteous; therefore, they do not resemble the righteous God. But the Devil and his disciples preach the devilish doctrine of unconditional grace…and deceive many. They are under a strong delusion… And
for this cause God shall send them a strong delusion, that
they should believe a lie: That
they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but
had pleasure in unrighteousness. II Thessalonians 2:11, 12 The
Devilish Lie of Unconditional Grace
The beatniks and hippies preached a devilish doctrine of hedonism: “If it feels good, do it.” And corrupt Christians – hypocrites – bring hedonism into the church and declare "Christians just wanna have fun." They deceive others into turning the grace of God into lasciviousness. This devilish lie denies the Biblical Law of holiness and sanctification. More important, unconditional grace denies that Jesus’ blood gives us victory over sin. O what a devilish lie! The perverted doctrine of unconditional grace is the same as the perverted doctrine of unconditional eternal security (once saved, always saved). The truth is eternal salvation is only for those who obey Him: And
being made perfect, he
became the author of eternal salvation unto
all that obey him. Hebrews 5:9 Don’t be deceived by the devilish lie that the wages of sin is not death. This is the same lie Satan used to tempt Eve to disobey God. Satan questioned Eve: “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Eve replied they could eat of every tree of the Garden except the fruit of the tree in the middle of the Garden: “God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.” And Satan replied: “Ye shall not surely die.” And this is the Devil's lie of unconditional grace: If you disobey God, you shall not surely die. But God’s Word is clear. Grace is only for those living in obedience unto holiness. But
now being made free from sin, and
become servants to God, ye
have your fruit unto
holiness, and
the end everlasting
life. For
the wages of sin is
death; but
the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:22,23 Undeniably,
the lascivious are condemned: “the
wages of sin is death.” Don’t be deceived by the devilish doctrine of unconditional grace: “If it feels good, do it.”
Wanna have "fun" - sin? Go ahead.
