Corrupt Public Officials in the Hands of an Angry God
by Karen Pansler-Lam, J.D.
There is only one fate for corrupt public officials.
And that fate is destruction.
They are “thorns, to be thrust away” and “burned.”
Their certain destruction is that they will be utterly burned with fire.
Yes, public officials who wound justice with the thorns and brambles of corruption will be cast into the fire.
On March 8, 2005, I was escorted off the premises of the Polk County Juvenile Boot Camp. I was the English teacher.
Around 3:00 p.m. the lead teacher and the captain walked into my classroom. The juvenile residents were present in the room for counseling when the lead teacher asked me to step into his office. After entering the office, he said something to the effect: “Miss Pansler, as you know, you have been writing letters to the Sheriff’s Office and the School Board. You are to pack your things and the captain will escort you off the premises.” The captain then said that my security clearance was revoked and he would escort me off the premises.
The three of us walked back into my classroom. After I began packing, the captain asked the residents to move across the hall to another classroom. Needless to say, the residents were given the impression that I had done something illegal or immoral. Furthermore, School Board and Sheriff’s Office employees witnessed my being escorted off the premises giving the impression that I had done something illegal or immoral. These were defamatory acts causing injury to my character and reputation.
In "Dark Secrets: Exposing Secret Cults," I explained the School Board of Polk County terminated me for exposing and protesting white supremacist Neo-Confederate events sponsored and endorsed by Florida local and state government. So much for being a vigilant citizen concerned about public safety and welfare. According to law enforcement and intelligence agencies, Neo-Confederates are the fastest-growing hate and terrorist group in Florida.
In retaliation for exposing and protesting Neo-Confederate racist and seditious propaganda at the Boot Camp, I was not only terminated, but public officials and employees in both high and low places are spreading black lies about me: lies about stalking, restraining orders, harassment, e-mails, and other malicious slander and libel. This is an outrage! Public officials have spread malicious slander and committed numerous defamatory acts with the intent to injure my character and reputation. This is an abuse of political power!
The ferocious and malicious boasting of public officials reminds me of Solomon’s proverb: “As a roaring lion, and a raging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people” (Proverbs 28:15). Public officials are elected or appointed to be shepherds of the flock; they must not prey on the flock. Corrupt public officials are fierce beasts on the prowl that use their political power to devour the weak. Corrupt public officials are wolves in sheep’s clothing with a savage hunger to feed their self-interest; and use their office to disguise their true nature. Needless to say, corrupt public officials must be driven out of office just as wild wolves must be driven out of the flock.
Public officials are entrusted with public safety and welfare. Public officials must not be negligent in their duty to act rightly and justly in matters of public safety and welfare. My legitimate complaints about the Polk County Juvenile Boot Camp’s white supremacist Neo-Confederate history curriculum concern matters of public safety and welfare. Clearly, a criminal juvenile facility advocating racism and sedition are matters of public interest and should be exposed and protested.
In “Dark Secrets: Exposing Secret Cults” I mentioned my name appeared in the following web “advertisement.”

If you haven’t already done so, please click here and look at it. I strongly suspect the section "Playtime Outfits for Boys - Boy Costumes" discusses my protesting the Neo-Confederate events and curriculum at the boot camp. Of course, anything disguised in code implies secrecy and evil intent. Evil intentions are always disguised as something good or harmless. Unquestionably, this “advertisement” is undeniable proof that I exposed something concerning public safety and welfare. Furthermore, I received e-mail indirect death threats while protesting the Neo-Confederate history curriculum. Clearly, the “advertisement” and the death threats are evidence that I exposed and reported matters concerning public safety and welfare.
As I said earlier, Neo-Confederates are dangerous. They threaten to use brute force to push their evil plot of secession or liberation; and they will even murder those who protest it. For a brief outline of Neo-Confederate extremism, see http://www.humboldt.edu/~go1/terrorism/unit1/hatecrime.html. Even though it’s outdated, it is still an excellent outline of hate-motivated extremists and terrorists.
Federal, state, and local government must not allow hate-motivated extremists and terrorists like the Neo-Confederates to infiltrate our public schools and juvenile criminal facilities and indoctrinate our children with their hateful white supremacist Confederate ideology. Because the government often fails to safeguard us - as we learned from September 11, 2001 - should government officials punish or sanction the punishment of private citizens who expose and report matters concerning public safety and welfare that are covered-up, endorsed, sponsored, or ignored by public officials who are inept, ignorant, negligent, or corrupt?
Furthermore, the public officials who conspire to blacklist me for being a vigilant citizen deliberately disobey Scripture admonishing rulers to reward those who do good, and to punish evildoers. Romans 13 explains the role of rulers or the higher powers in government:
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have the praise of the same: 4 For he is a minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for his is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Notice that God commands that rulers must be just and rule in fear of Him. Public officials are authorized by God to rule for Him. And with this authority comes the responsibility to rule with the best interests of the people at heart. In other words, public officials are not just representatives of the people; more important, they are representatives of God. Again, they are ministers of justice; and they must put the public weal before self-will.
However, when public officials are self-serving and disregard the best interests of the public good, it is an offence against public justice. Offenses against public justice committed by public officials are numerous: obstructing justice by threatening public employees with disciplinary action for exposing matters concerning public safety and welfare, bribing any person concerned in the administration of justice with undue reward to influence his behavior to cover up negligent acts of public officials, falsifying records or fabricating false evidence, conspiring to cover up their negligent acts and acts of other public officials, malicious slander and other defamation, oppression and tyrannical partiality of public officials in investigating and punishing violation of laws, and countless other offenses.
Unquestionably, our public safety and welfare is too important to entrust solely to government officials because they are easily swayed by party politics, political bribery, private interest, and other dirty political plots and ploys. Therefore, each of us must be a vigilant watchman over our nation and safeguard our public welfare.
Simply put, public officials are ministers of justice: Reward the good; punish the evil. God has entrusted public officials to administer justice; and public officials are accountable to God and man for the proper administration of justice. In II Samuel, God warns government officials to fear Him in administering justice: “The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God” (II Samuel 23:3).
The rod of judgment must be used to punish offenses against public justice committed by corrupt public officials. Failure to punish corrupt public officials is a crime against the public interest because failure to punish corrupt public officials is a crime against public justice.
Moreover, to spare the rod is to spoil the public official. Unpunished corrupt public officials are spoiled political brats who are allowed to wreck havoc in our government. Public officials must not be allowed to commit public offenses which harm the public interest. In fact, to leave these evildoers unpunished encourages them to repeat their evil acts. Unfortunately, there are many ignorant and weak men who feel it is sufficient to correct an evil act by simply forbidding its repetition. This is ruinous to the well-being of the state. The well-being of the state depends on the proper administration of justice; and justice demands that wrongful acts by corrupt public officials must be judged and punished.
As one can see, it is absolutely necessary to drive out of office corrupt public officials and never allow them to return unless they have repented and been wholly transformed. Unfortunately, this infrequently happens. The corrective rod of judgment rarely softens a corrupt public official’s hardened heart; however, it is in the public interest to drive him out of office since he betrayed the trust of the people.
Furthermore, leniency in dealing with one corrupt public official encourages the corruption of other public officials because they believe their wrong actions will be ignored, excused, covered up, or dealt with by a soft hand. The firm hand of justice must use the rod of judgment to restrain and discipline corrupt public officials. Corrupt public officials must fear the just hand of the judgment of man. For the strong arm of the government to fail to wield the rod of judgment for the public offenses of public officials is a sign of a weak government.
The firm hand of justice must use the rod of judgment to punish the corrupt public officials who betray the public trust by their wrongful acts: obstructing justice by threatening public employees with disciplinary action for exposing Neo-Confederate propaganda that concerns public safety and welfare, bribing persons in the administration of justice with undue reward to influence his behavior to cover up negligent acts of public officials, falsifying records or fabricating false evidence, conspiring to cover up their negligent acts and acts of other public officials, malicious slander and other defamation, oppression and tyrannical partiality of public officials in investigating and punishing violation of laws.
As I said earlier, the rod of judgment must be used to punish offenses against public justice committed by corrupt public officials. Failure to punish corrupt public officials is a crime against the public interest because failure to punish corrupt public officials is a crime against public justice. Corrupt public officials must fear the judgment of man.
More important than fearing the judgment of man, corrupt public officials must fear the judgment of God. There is only one fate for corrupt public officials. And that fate is destruction. They are “thorns, to be thrust away” and “burned.” Their certain destruction is that they will be utterly burned with fire. Yes, public officials who wound justice with the thorns and brambles of corruption will be cast into the fire. Hebrews 6:8 warns us: “But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.” And Matthew 3:10,12 declares: 10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Yes, God will burn up the political chaff with unquenchable fire.
Public officials are robed with the official white robe of justice. Alas, corrupt public officials have spotted their official robes with the stains of wrongdoing and disgrace. Consequently, corrupt public officials must be stripped of their official robes.
Jude 23 exhorts us: “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” It is only the love and mercy of God that keeps sinful politicians from falling into the fire. We must cry out “Repent!” and snatch corrupt public officials by the thread of their spotted garments out of the fire before they plunge headlong into the fiery pit. Simply put, corrupt public officials share the same fate of all sinners: hell.
In “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” the most famous sermon ever preached, Jonathan Edwards vividly describes the awful plight of every sinner: . . . The bow of God's wrath is bent, and the arrow made ready on the string, and justice bends the arrow at your heart, and strains the bow, and it is nothing but the mere pleasure of God, and that of an angry God, without any promise or obligation at all, that keeps the arrow one moment from being made drunk with your blood. Thus all you that never passed under a great change of heart, by the mighty power of the Spirit of God upon your souls; all you that were never born again, and made new creatures, and raised from being dead in sin, to a state of new, and before altogether unexperienced light and life, are in the hands of an angry God. The God that holds you over the pit of hell, much as one holds a spider, or some loathsome insect over the fire, abhors you, and is dreadfully provoked: his wrath towards you burns like fire; he looks upon you as worthy of nothing else, but to be cast into the fire; he is of purer eyes than to bear to have you in his sight; you are ten thousand times more abominable in his eyes, than the most hateful venomous serpent is in ours. You have offended him infinitely more than ever a stubborn rebel did his prince; and yet it is nothing but his hand that holds you from falling into the fire every moment. It is to be ascribed to nothing else, that you did not go to hell the last night; that you was suffered to awake again in this world, after you closed your eyes to sleep. And there is no other reason to be given, why you have not dropped into hell since you arose in the morning, but that God's hand has held you up. O sinner! Consider the fearful danger you are in: it is a great furnace of wrath, a wide and bottomless pit, full of the fire of wrath, that you are held over in the hand of that God, whose wrath is provoked and incensed as much against you, as against many of the damned in hell. You hang by a slender thread, with the flames of divine wrath flashing about it, and ready every moment to singe it, and burn it asunder; and you have no interest in any Mediator, and nothing to lay hold of to save yourself, nothing to keep off the flames of wrath, nothing of your own, nothing that you ever have done, nothing that you can do, to induce God to spare you one moment. . . . Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God --Their foot shall slide in due time.-- Deuteronomy 32:35

To repeat, there is only one fate for corrupt public officials. And that fate is destruction. They shall be utterly burned with fire.
O corrupt public official, consider the fearful danger you are in: it is a great furnace of wrath, a wide and bottomless pit, full of the fire of wrath, that you are held over in the hand of that God, whose wrath is provoked and incensed as much against you, as against many of the damned in hell. You hang by a slender thread of your stained official robe, with the flames of divine wrath flashing about it, and ready every moment to singe it, and burn it to shreds. O corrupt public official, repent!
